Steadybit Now Supports Running Experiments on Windows

You asked. We built it.

Steadybit now supports chaos engineering on Windows Hosts.

If your environment includes systems that run on Windows, you no longer need workarounds or separate tooling. The same platform that lets you safely run chaos experiments on Linux now works seamlessly on Windows.

Simply install the new Windows Host extension and the agent, and you’ll get the same best-in-class functionality, including full system discovery inside the Steadybit Landscape Explorer and pre-built templates for fast experiment set up and execution.

Similar to our Linux support, you can run the following type of actions:

  • Block DNS
  • Block Traffic
  • Corrupt Outgoing Packages
  • Delay Outgoing Traffic
  • Drop Outgoing Traffic
  • Limit Outgoing Bandwidth
  • Shutdown Windows Host
  • Stop Process
  • Time Travel

This extension makes it easy to bring Windows Hosts into your existing Steadybit workflows.

That means no gaps, no duplicated effort, and no missing infrastructure.

This is also just one step on our mission to bring chaos engineering to the broader Microsoft ecosystem. While today’s release focuses on host-level capabilities, our roadmap includes more targeted support for .NET applications and Azure services.
