That’s right, it’s official. Steadybit is now SOC 2 Type 2 certified!
We always talk about the importance of system reliability in the context of running experiments on services and applications; assessing risks, validating failover processes, and building operational readiness.
SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is a reflection of that reliability at the organizational level.
We had to check a lot of boxes, read the fine print, and gather documentation for each audit control, but now we can celebrate achieving this new compliance standing.
Service Organization Control (SOC) audits are conducted by an independent inspector and are a universally recognized way for vendors to prove that they have strong operational processes and security safeguards in place across their organization.
Steadybit first achieved Type 1 certification a little less than a year ago, and over the last few months, we’ve been working on securing the next level, Type 2.
To achieve Type 2 certification, our audit covered a wider range of categories, including:
Preparing for these audits is truly a team effort and the result is more than just a stamp of approval; it’s a stronger, more reliable organization.
“When you want to test the reliability of your systems, you also need to know that your vendors are trusted, secure partners,” said Benjamin Wilms, CEO at Steadybit. “SOC 2 Type 2 is another way we can demonstrate how much we care about delivering security, availability, and data privacy for our customers.”
With this certification, it is now easier and faster to onboard Steadybit as a trusted vendor since the controls documented in the SOC 2 report often overlap with specific evaluation criteria.
